Answers
Using PSPoste
1. Where can I find a list of button mappings for each window?
You can activate the Heads Up Help (HUH) in any window and any context by pulling the analog stick to the left, this will list all possible button actions for the currently active context.
2. How do I add an email account?
Open the settings window, go to the Accounts tab and activate the "Add New Account" button. Ensure you "Save and Close" after doing this since the settings aren't saved until the settings window is closed.
3. How do I choose which network connection is used?
Open the settings window, go to the Connection tab and activate the "Selected" combo box. Ensure you "Save and Close" after doing this since the settings aren't saved until the settings window is closed.
Features
1. Which mail protocols are supported?
Currently, POP3 and SMTP are the only supported mail protocols, IMAP may be added in the future if demand for it is sufficient. SASL and TLS support may also be added. Mail is stored on the memory stick using the maildir format.
2. Which firmware revisions are supported?
The PSPoste team is only equipped with v1.5 PSPs, so 1.5 is the only PSP version we package binaries for, the entire source to PSPoste is available under the GPL, so compiling for other firmware versions should be possible.
3. Why don't you have feature "X"?
Much of the PSPoste development time was spent on non-email related features such as the GUI controls and efficient text manipulation, this means we couldn't include all features we had originally planned. The best way to request a new feature is to send us a Feature Request. Please ensure the feature hasn't already been requested by Browsing Requested Features first. If the feature has already been requested, add a comment to the feature so we know how to single out the most popular features.
Input Methods
1. Which input methods does PSPoste support?
PSPoste's default input method is the graphical keyboard, but it also supports Psprint and the ThinkOutside IrDa keyboard.
2. How do you switch between input methods?
Open the settings window, go to the Options tab and activate the "Text Input" combo box. Ensure you "Save and Close" after doing this since the settings aren't saved until the settings window is closed.
3. Where can I find out information about Psprint?
Here's a link to p-sprint Documentation and Keymap.
4. Which hardware keyboards do you support?
We currently only support the ThinkOutside PDA IrDa keyboard, it's unlikely other IrDa keyboards will be supported unless a specific model becomes overwhelmingly popular among PSPoste users.
5. Where can I buy a hardware keyboard that is supported by PSPoste?
ThinkOutside PDA IrDa keyboard
Troubleshooting
1. When I launch PSPoste there is a message...
These errors are sometimes caused by an invalid settings.xml file, or a corrupted memory stick. If the settings.xml file was edited outside the application, revert to the default settings.xml before sending us a bug report.
2. I've found a bug in your program. What do I do?
First, browse all outstanding bugs, if your bug isn't listed, open a new bug report.
